DfE Content Store:
Driven by the mission to remove barriers to educational opportunities, the Content Store aims to improve the learning experience for pupils and save teachers time; demonstrating how safely developed AI can improve public services and unlock innovation.
Incubated in theDepartment for Education, the programme will bring together selected educational material such as programmes of study, lesson plans and anonymised pupil assessments - to train AI tools that augment and support teachers in time consuming activities, creating more time to dedicate to their students. TheContent Store will be a powerful launchpad for the UK’s flourishing EducationTechnology sector, unleashing innovation through safe and stable access to high quality data.
The Grange Festival of Arts
AI inEducation, in collaboration with The Grange Festival, is pioneering a transformative project to cultivate AI literacy in young learners through a creative arts-based approach. By integrating arts with foundational AI concepts, the programme engages students in exploring the role of technology in society while developing essential future-ready skills such as critical thinking, creativity, and digital responsibility. Through collaborative, hands-on activities, students gain a human-centred and ethical understanding ofAI, empowering them to navigate and contribute to a rapidly evolving technological world. This initiative bridges the gap between creativity and technology, addressing equity by targeting disadvantaged schools and ensuring all students have the opportunity to thrive in the digital age
‘Hands-on’ Series:
AI in Education is launching a series of 'Hands-On' sessions to empower school staff in using AI to address real-world challenges. Building on the success of the SEND-focused sessions, which enabled SENCOs to explore AI solutions tailored to their needs, this initiative will expand to include workshops for school leaders, admin staff, teaching assistants, and teachers.
Each session provides a practical, collaborative environment where participants can experiment with AI tools, share ideas, and develop strategies to streamline tasks, enhance teaching, and improve school administration. These sessions aim to embed AI into daily practices, fostering a culture of innovation and problem-solving across all levels of school operations.
SAfE:

This initiative includes AI roadshows for primary schools, a series of tailored workshops for secondary colleagues, andAI-focused drop-in sessions. Additionally, the programme offers dedicated training for school improvement teams and targeted support for primary and inclusion networks. By combining AI literacy with a collaborative professional development approach, this partnership aims to enhance teaching practices and foster inclusive, equitable education in Surrey’s schools.
